Scott joined the American Public Gas Association in December of 2010 and currently serves as the Director of Government Affairs. In this position, he is responsible for implementing legislative strategy and assisting in regulatory activities.
Prior to joining APGA, Scott served as the Energy Committee Legislative Assistant for Senator Evan Bayh. While with Senator Bayh, Scott worked numerous issues including comprehensive energy and climate legislation, Natural Gas Act reform, advanced vehicles, among many others.
Scott also has worked for the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor party as a Field Organizer on behalf of Senator Klobuchar’s campaign and was a Legal Assistant for Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in Washington DC.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
